Use option Background video to completely fill the screen area. The image is not distorted but goes outside the screen (in PRO you can also enable the stretch).

Also for background video you need autoplay Playback / Autoplay)and mute the sound Audio / Volume

Stretching via API

You can use the stretch JS API command to fill the video player screen. For example, you can create your own button or your own item in the context menu with the command api:stretch,1/0
